- On the palette preferences screen, you should see a cycle gadget which flips
- between "Multicolor Settings" and "4 Color Settings". Set it to Multicolor
- settings and try that.
-
- If that doesn't work, it's possible that your palette preferences file is
- munged, so try deleting ENVARC:Sys/Palette.prefs and ENV:Sys/Palette.prefs and
- reloading the palette preferences program to try again.
-
- Corrupted preferences files seem to be the root of a lot of problems with
- Workbench. Deleting them all and starting over is often successful, since
- the preferences programs and IPrefs apparently don't deal with corrupt files
- too well.
-
- (BTW, how can you stomach a 16 colour WB on your A500? I have an A500+ / 3.1 /
- 40MHz '030 and even on that I find 16 colours painfully slow. 8 colours is
- bearable).
